Join award winning Allen Schmertzler on this 2-day workshop journey into a facial house of amusement, "Facial Recognition:  The Joy of Serious Caricature Drawing."  This is all about the love of drawing faces, and never seeing the face the same way again.

Lean into portraiture or lean out into caricature, discover a new way of thinking about facial recognition and how to capture the likeness statement you care to make about your subject in your drawings.

Allen Schmertzler is an award-winning political artist, author, and educator whose work captures the temper of our times with the satirical depth akin to Hogarth and Daumier.  Since 1997, Allen has exhibited widely, complementing his career as an educator that spans over four decades.
